Whether you’re designing a spacious patio canopy, an extended alfresco dining area, or a high-spec garden room, the Simplicity Xtra Plus delivers robust performance, striking aesthetics, and structural confidence. Now the largest projecting system within Simplicity range alongside the Simplicity Free Apex, the 5m span between posts also means the Simplicity Xtra Plus now offers the largest overall footprint of any system we offer.
Why We Built the Simplicity Xtra Plus
With the retirement of our Alfresco Contemporary system, we saw a need to bridge the gap for Trade Partners working on wider spans and deeper projections. The Simplicity Xtra Plus answers that need, taking everything installers love about Simplicity Xtra and enhancing it for even greater capability while also simplifying our range and streamlining the specification process.
This next-generation veranda and glass room system features:
• Projection up to 6 metres (wall mounted or free-standing)
• Post spacing up to 5 metres (inside to inside)
• 4 new profiles including Wall Plate, Glass Connector, Eaves Beam Support, and Bolster Bars

When Should You Specify Simplicity Xtra Plus?
The specification process is straightforward:
- For Projects 4m and below, you’ll still be specified the usual Simplicity Xtra system
- For projects 4.1m and above, you’ll still order the Simplicity Xtra, we’ll simply process the order as a Simplicity Xtra Plus
This simplifies quotations, ensures structural performance, and helps you avoid additional complications for accurate specification.
When Should You Specify Simplicity Xtra Plus?
There is good news for installers: the installation process remains largely unchanged. The profiles differ, but the system goes together using the same principles as the Simplicity Xtra.
The only notable change is the roof bar joiner and the increased structural depth of key components. You’ll also need to prepare for a minimum 600mm x 600mm x 600mm concrete pad or foundation to support the heavier load.
