Excellent veranda installation at a domestic home with bespoke roof detail in Cork, Ireland, installed by our Trade Partner Roofit
Autumn weather is rolling in and many homeowners can still enjoy the great outdoors from the comfort of their own homes, as we would in the summer. The Milwood Group offer a great range of versatile verandas, canopies and carports with bespoke design details available upon request.
This is evident from this recent Simplicity 16 installation in Cork, Ireland, where our Trade Partners at Roofit have created a custom-built outdoor living space following the customers specification.
Roofit have been a certified Trade Partner of ours for several years now upon completion of our Milwood Group Training Academy, a collaboration that both parties have greatly benefitted from.
Installed to the rear elevation of the property, our Simplicity 16 provides ample sheltered pace for the raised patio area. Leading out from a set of French doors, the posts are secured into ground through the flagstones and secured to the property through a goal post.
The blueprint for this veranda spans 3.2m wide, with a projection of 4m as this canopy covers an entire section of the patio leading down to the garden stairs. This required the use of poly carbonate roof panels which are strong and robust enough to withstand high winds and heavy snowfall. Due to the angle of the garden wall, the first roof panel is cut to an acute angle to allow the veranda to sit square to the property.
The Anthracite Grey finish (RAL 7016) complements the patio fencing around the stairwell allowing the veranda to seamlessly integrate into its surroundings. To the fenced side there is a glazed Infill that will create a fully enclosed side elevation, this will protect those underneath the veranda from blustering winds and any consequently angled rain from this side.
