Installed in Pateley Bridge, North Yorkshire, this 2.35m x 1.5m glass-roofed veranda complements the heritage stonework of the property with a minimalist edge.

The client required a neat, architectural canopy over a patio area that would align with the rear elevation of their character property. The Simplicity 6, powder-coated in RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey (Textured Finish), was selected to blend with the window frames and rainwater goods.

To elevate the aesthetic, a Contemporary Gutter was specified instead of the standard rounded profile, delivering a crisp, squared appearance and enhancing the modern feel without compromising on performance.

Due to the restricted projection and the stone façade, precise wallplate alignment and a clean pitch were crucial. The installation team fixed the system using surface-mounted post feet and sealed the wallplate neatly against the irregular stonework, ensuring weather protection without disrupting the aesthetics.

A pitch of 9.4° was achieved, ensuring proper water run-off into the internal drainage system concealed within the post.

The Contemporary Gutter upgrade transforms the visual appeal of the Simplicity 6. Unlike traditional curves, its squared fascia sits flush and clean, aligning effortlessly with the system’s modern sightlines. This small yet impactful detail delivers a high-end architectural finish – ideal for projects where design matters as much as durability.
