A beautiful canopy installation in York with bespoke design detail to accommodate chimney breast, installed by our Trade Partner Alfresco Canopies
One of the many upsides of our Milwood Group range of verandas, canopies, and carports is the versatility that our solutions provide. With our entire range of products being developed in-house, we made sure to design in easy manipulability to accommodate any installation scenario.

Coming to us recently with a project where the homeowner required a canopy above their lovely patio area, the chimney breast on the side of the house presented a challenge. Projecting 350mm from the building elevation and 1265mm wide, a snug fit around the chimney breast was required to ensure a perfect installation.
Our design team collaborated with the Alfresco Canopies crew to quickly produce a design proposal that accommodated this. Adjusting the roof bar spacings to have a bar tight to the sides of the chimney and supplying the wall plate in three lengths solved the challenge and the proposal was accepted by the homeowner.
The end result is a lovely outcome. Finished in RAL 9016 White powder-coat and with a large 6m x 2.485mm footprint, this large canopy provides excellent shelter to the patio and provides a dry space for the homeowner to utilise. The grey-tinted 6mm toughened glass to the roof panels finishes the aesthetic of a treat.
