Milwood Group supported this project with a comprehensive 5-page CAD drawing, created specifically to meet the site’s requirements. The drawing played a crucial role in securing full customer approval before manufacturing, giving the homeowner complete visibility of the veranda layout and structural detailing.

It outlined all key measurements, including pitch and post positioning, glass sizes, component lengths, and drainage planning. With everything clearly specified in advance, Roofit were able to install the system efficiently and with total confidence on site.

The installation required careful coordination around an uneven gravel and stone base. Roofit’s team applied a combination of in-ground concrete footings and bolt-to-surface post brackets to achieve a level, secure frame.

A cheese frame section was also installed between the posts and the gutter, providing a tidy upper edge and a practical fixing point for optional side glazing panels or provacy screens. In addition, it offers enhanced protection from the elements by partially enclosing the sides, helping to shield the covered area from wind and rain.

The Victorian base castings add a periodic charm to the structure, creating a stunning contrast against the modern powder-coated aluminium frame. The toughened glass roof allows natural light to pass through, maintaining visibility and brightness while offering reliable protection from the elements.

With all aluminium components pre-cut and labelled as per the CAD, Roofit completed the installation with speed and accuracy.
