Stunning veranda installation uses Goal Post Extension in Awre, Wales, installed by our Trade Partner Greenspace Living

This recent project in Awre, Wales, highlights this as the potential sheltered space has been extended through the use of a goal post creating a new mounting section. Using the goal post to extend the usable space, the homeowners has been able to virtually double the width of their new veranda.
Greenspace Living joined the Milwood Trade Partner Program earlier in 2022, and it’s great to see how they have been able to maximise our systems versatility across various projects.
Goal posts are a box profile that are concrete set into the ground by 600mm to create a durable and safe support structure. We supply goal posts at the height of the veranda, canopy, or carport along with L brackets that help our Trade Partners to connect the goal posts while solving any height restrictions you may have.
The veranda spans 5.605m wide, with a total projection of 2.23m. An additional 2.525m was found in width thanks to the use of the goal post. All drainage is managed in the beam section, with a 40mm internal downpipe in one of the standing legs to channel the rainwater away from the patio surface.
Finished in RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey, the veranda compliments the overall aesthetic of the property, closely matching the properties roofing tiles and contemporary modern design. Our 6mm Clear Toughened Glass will provide additional strength from any falling debris in harsh weather, while allowing direct sunlight to pass through in the summer months.
