Milwood Group Trade Partner Completes Another Fantastic Veranda Installation in Dublin with this clever dual-veranda solution to cover two areas
With the new year comes new aspirations so it’s great to be able to kick off with a look at a creative and highly practical veranda and canopy installation achieved recently by Roofit, our Trade Partner in Dublin.
The homeowner was keen to achieve a covered patio area to the rear of their property to increase the outdoor living utility of their garden space. Consideration of the adjacent walkway area was required, though, to really provide a comprehensive solution.
For the patio veranda, the homeowner opted for our stylish and practical Simplicity Xtra system. Its 4.7 by 3.8 metre footprint provides a large new outdoor living space for the whole family to enjoy, rain or shine!
Our highly practical Simplicity 6 system was specified for the walkway canopy solution. With 6mm clear toughened glass to the roof panels in both systems and Anthracite Grey Semi Gloss (RAL 7016) powdercoat finish throughout, the end result is both cohesive and contemporary.
With a narrow walkway feeding off from the relatively compact patio space, careful design was required to provide adequate coverage from the elements due to the differing system heights required at each area. The patio veranda obviously needed to be high enough to account for the window and French doors, while the walkway canopy made sense to match to the wall height to truly enclose the area for maximum benefit.
This height disparity was handsomely resolved by the expert team at Roofit with a bespoke glazing solution and the use of our Goal Post system to tie the two systems together seamlessly.
