Standard Sized Systems: A New Way to Sell Milwood Group Solutions

For many of our Trade Partners, Milwood Group is known for one thing above all else: bespoke, made-to-measure aluminium systems, designed precisely for each project. That approach is not changing, and bespoke systems will continue to form the backbone of what we do.

From January 2026, however, we are introducing an additional option alongside bespoke: a new range of standard sized systems, developed to support a faster sales process, a simplified ordering process, and improved cost-efficiency where a bespoke solution is not required. These systems have been carefully designed around fixed bar lengths, allowing materials to be ordered, processed, and supplied in the most efficient way possible.

This is not a replacement for bespoke. It is an expansion of choice, giving Trade Partners greater flexibility when speed, simplicity, and transparent pricing are the priority.

Why We’re Introducing Standard Sized Systems

Across the market, we are seeing a growing demand for:

  • Faster turnaround from enquiry to installation
  • Clear, upfront pricing without lengthy specification
  • Repeatable system sizes that streamline installation planning

Our standard sized systems have been developed to meet this demand, while retaining the quality, performance, and aluminium engineering Milwood Group is known for.

Glass and polycarbonate sizes are calculated specifically to suit the standard sized systems. In many cases, roof panels can be ordered at the same width and length across different sizes.

What’s Included in the Initial Standard Range

These options focus on our most in-demand configurations, covering both entry-level and premium solutions from the Simplicity range, including:

  • Glass roof veranda and glass room solution
  • Polycarbonate roof canopy
  • A clearly defined premium veranda and glass room option, priced transparently without bespoke specification

What This Means for Trade Partners

Standard sized systems are designed to remove friction from the sales and ordering process.

Key benefits include:

  • Shorter lead times through optimised, repeatable sizes
  • No CAD approval process for standard systems
  • Reduced administration and faster ordering
  • Quicker route to installation, getting teams on site sooner
  • Stronger Margins, Same Trade Discounts

All existing Trade Partner discount levels apply in full to standard sized systems.

This means:

  • Lower base system costs compared to bespoke equivalents
  • Improved margins or greater flexibility when pricing competitively
  • Clearer, more confident sales conversations with customers

Standard sizing allows you to convert enquiries faster, without compromising on discount structure or system quality.

Two Ways to Specify: Standard Sizes or Fully Bespoke Systems

Bespoke systems remain fully available for projects that demand them. Standard sizes simply provide an additional route where speed, simplicity, and cost efficiency take priority.

Whether you are selling a quick-turn veranda or a premium glass room, you can now choose the most appropriate path for each enquiry.
